Static Electricity

When any electrical charge is passed to any computer there is danger of shorting out the mainboard or other hardware device.  A single electrical charge and render your mainboard useless.  Which means a new machine to replace your current machine.  The biggest offender is Static Electricity.  A simple fast way to reduce Static Electricity charges may sound a bit "out there", but here is what Tech Support One recommends.  Use an empty spray bottle ( like for windex )filled about 1/3 with Liquid Fabric Softener and 2/3 water and spray all the area around your computer.  Spray a soft cloth with this combination and wipe down desks and chairs etc.  Spray the floor area within ten feet in all directions ( especially carpet ).  This fluid will significantly reduce Static Electricity in and on the work area where your computer is located.  Do this as often as you think of it to help prevent passing an electrical charge to your computer(s).

Dust

Every computer really should be cleaned about every six months or so at least.  Paying close attention to the fans inside the computer.  When using "compressed air" ( the ideal method ) be careful to place your finger on the fan blade to ensure it does not spin when it is sprayed.  The fan can be damaged if it is allowed to spin when being sprayed with air to remove dust.  DO NOT use electrical machines to blow the dust out of your machine.  Electrical devices may pass a huge charge to the mainboard and damage it beyond repair.
